Hong Kong - Day 6

Hong Kong - Day 6 (11-16Oct2012)

Decided to have a last minute shopping in Mong Kok before I say goodbye to Hong Kong.
However being too early, we went to have our breakfast at one of the traditional stall nearby.
Yes, its my favorite Soup Noodle with Fish Balls and Fish Cakes. It was quite a standard dishes I had ordered throughout my trip.
My love

We continued with shopping at Agryle Centre and then had some desserts at Hui Lau Shan before returning to Central. I love their mango desserts!!!!

Back to Central quite early, so there's still a few hours more before the taxi driver arrives to fetch us to Airport.
Therefore we walked around at our hotel nearby and bought the famous Tai Cheong egg tarts.
Regretted didn't make a visit to Ocean Park and shouldn't have spent all days on shopping, 6days for Hong Kong was kinda too many days for us.

Hong Kong - Day 5

Hong Kong - Day 5 (11-16Oct2012)

Woke up early today as we will be visiting quite a few places.
Firstly, we went to have our breakfast at Luk Yu Tea House 陆羽 which is one of the recommended restaurant for dim sum.

However, it was too costly compared to the rest of the dim sum restaurants we had visited.
It's even more expensive than dim sum in SG as each dishes cost at least sgd$6 and above.
With this pricing, the standard of dim sum definitely taste good but I don't find it worth as there are still many other dim sum restaurants that sell cheaper and taste good.

After our breakfast, we went over to Tsim Sha Tsui Sogo, basement floor to purchase the best Lao Po Bing in Hong Kong - 恆香老餅家 Hang Heung Wife Pastry.

If you are wondering where to shop other than Agryle Centre and Fa Yuen Street? Here I am recommending a great shopping centre in Hong Kong which are similar to SG Far East Plaza.

This great shopping centre is recommended by my cousin - Kwai Chung Plaza 葵涌廣場. (Kwai Fong mtr station)
Glad to know a new shopping place in Hong Kong and this is not that popular among tourist but have the same shopping concept as Agryle Centre.

Had our lunch at 小雨天 which is located inside Kwai Chung Plaza 2nd Floor.
I love the soup noodles with beef balls, it taste really great and I miss that dishes!
After having our energy recharged, is time for shopping!

Spent the whole afternoon shopping in the Kwai Chung Plaza before heading to Wanchai.
There's nothing much at wanchai so we walked around to find a place for dinner.
Disappointingly, we had the worst food throughout our trip and I couldn't even finish it!
Then we went over to board Ding Ding Tram back to Central, its my first time trying this even thought being there the 3rd time.

ding ding tram

Previously I was always afraid that I board the wrong direction so in the end didn't get to try it. However, this time I had a clear research about the route before I board the tram.
It was pretty cool although being almost the same as normal bus.
Finally back to Central and we have some shopping at A&F before heading back to hotel.

Hong Kong - Day 4

Hong Kong - Day 4 (11-16Oct2012)

First place to visit will be 莲香楼 Lin Heung Teahouse for our dim sum breakfast~
It was being recommended for having good dim sum in Hong Kong however it's not a good place if you do not know how to speak cantonese. The dim sum is served traditionally where the staffs will be pushing the cart around with all different varieties. Not only is difficult to communicate to them what you want, you must also be fast to grab the dim sum when they just started to push out as it was quite crowded when I was there around 12pm.

In the end, we randomly picked a few basket of dim sum to try out but sadly none of it are my favorite dim sum. We couldn't stand the chaotic in the restaurant and couldn't get what we will like to have so we decided to make a move. Not forgetting, you have to share seats with other customers as well.

Next stop, we went to Causeway Bay for window shopping follow by having some desserts before we continue with shopping.
Bought mango desserts from Hui Lau Shan before heading to my usual desserts place - Lucky Dessert.
I prefer the outlet in Mongkok, it seems to taste better than Causeway Bay outlet.
The next time in Hong Kong, I am sure I will try those popular desserts shop to satisfy my sweet tooth craving.

After desserts, we went to Fa Yuen Street again for shopping although I bought more clothes but regretted for not visiting Ocean Park instead.
We were hungry after all the shopping and decided to find a restaurant nearby for our dinner and so we settled down at Homemade dim sum restaurant.

Ordered my usual favorite dishes and "Har Gao" turn out tasting not bad, actually I realize most of the dim sum I ate have really fresh and big prawns.

We carried on shopping at Argyle Centre before heading back to hotel.
